How It All Began

31 years ago Rena was approached by Father Don and asked if she could help a family in need at Christmas.   He told her that the father was a migrant worker and mom was having complications with her pregnancy and had to quit work.

She said yes! She held the first Yard Sale and was able to purchase items for the new baby and the rest of the family.

Ten years later Rena was ready to give up the program.  As they were having the Yard sale for the year at church.  A small girl came to her and asked her if she remembered her.  She was the girl that they had helped ten years before.  It was a sign to Rena to not only continue the program, but to grow it to what it is today.
